“I was blind, but now I see”
“I was blind, but now I see - the Bible opened up for me” - says one of the leaders after a week together with 60 other pastors and evangelists in the north of Nigeria. They came from 12 different denominations - 32 leaders from rural churches. I was again humbled by the commitment (some pastors monthly income is between US$6 & 20 and then they have served for 30 years or more) of these men and woman to the Gospel - the Good News. Indeed it is good news and brings freedom and light in this spiritually dark part of Nigeria. Not many from the outside come to these places to train for a week - we could not even accommodate everyone who wanted to come. But they have started to organise themselves to take the training further.
Let us pray together:
Thank God for his faithfulness this week
For protection - spiritual and physical for these faithful servants of God
For them sharing what they have learned this week with others
For everyone here locally in Nigeria who made this week possible - I was just truck again by peoples servant hearts
For everyone who gives sacrificially so that TWT can serve these men and woman in this small way - may more people’s hearts be touched to also help with future training and follow-ups
May you experience the Lord’s goodness and faithfulness in many ways this week
